Christianshavn is one of Copenhagen's most beautiful and historic districts. The district is a unique Copenhagen neighborhood packed with experiences, beautiful walks along the ramparts and canals. You can also find cozy and unique eateries.
You can visit the Church of Our Savior, where you can walk the 400 steps up to the top of the tower, which offers an impressive view of Christianshavn and Copenhagen. Explore the canals and see how culture, history and nature merge in beautiful harmony.
The free town of Christiania is a historic and alternative area of Copenhagen, visited and loved by many. Christina is probably best known for Pusher Street, but the area also offers an array of eateries, businesses, as well as art and cultural experiences that you won’t find any other place.
There are a number of music and culture houses such as The Gray Hall, the Opera, Loppen and many more, where there are unique cultural experiences and music is in store. You can visit Kvindesmedjen, Optimisten, Den Grønne Genbrugshal and other alternative shopping places where you can shop souvenirs that are far from anything you can find in a standard souvenir shop.
At Woodstock and Nemoland you can get something to drink, and if hunger strikes, you can visit one of the many small restaurants and street food stalls. Feel free to bring your camera; just remember not to take pictures near Pusherstreet.
The Inner Harbor Bridge and Broens Gadekøkken
The Inner Harbor Bridge is one of the newly built bridges in Copenhagen, which connects Christianshavn and Kongens Nytorv. The colorful bridge lets you cross the canal, and offers a unique view of Copenhagen's Waterfront.
Right by the bridge, you will find Broens Gadekøkken, which offers delicious Street Food, wonderful cocktails and a hot cup of coffee. The perfect pit stop when you are on experience in the city.
In the winter, Broens Skating Rink opens on the square by all the food stalls. Many people come here to have a nice winter outing, and participate in activities such as ice hockey tournaments. Even though some of the food stalls are closed for the winter, you can still get hot drinks and a delicious burger from the famous burger joint Gasoline Grill.
