Islands Brygge is part of northwestern Amager, which over the past few years has become especially popular among Copenhageners as an area to relax in.

Harbor Hangout - Islands Brygge
Harbor Hangout Islands Brygge is a big harbor bath where many young people and locals gather, especially during the summer. You can relax, have fun and swim in the harbor bath or take the plunge into the water from the various diving towers of 1, 3 and 5 meters height.
There is plenty of opportunity to relax, enjoy the good atmosphere and have a few beers in the sun on the green lawns along the harbor hangout. Islands Brygge harbor is a short walk from Next House Copenhagen. It is therefore a perfect place to go if you’re looking for a cozy place to take a break and get close to authentic Copenhagen.
Kulturhuset Islands Brygge
The culture center at Islands Brygge is located right next to the harbor hangout, and has a number of events throughout the year. The culture center hold flea markets where you can walk along the harbor front and find a lot of exciting flea finds. There is several music event throughout the year as well.
Kulturhuset Islands Brygge has also got a climate hub called Biokuben. Here are artists, activists and scientists invited to experiment and discuss science, aesthetics and activism. An exciting initiative that is worth visiting if you’re interested in climate activism.
GoBoat - Experience Copenhagen from the seaside
If you want to experience Copenhagen from the harbor side, you can rent a boat from GoBoat, where there is room for up to eight people in a boat.
You can bring food and drink on the boat, and enjoy a picnic on the water. There are also a number of cafes and restaurants next to the water, which you can easily stop at and get some food for the trip. You can stop at the popular Kayak Bar at Kalvebod Brygge, where you can both get something to eat and drink.
It is easy to steer the boats and it does not require a driver's license or sailing license to use them. The boats at GoBoat are all equipped with electric motors, and are charged by solar energy, so you’re guaranteed a sustainable sightseeing.
